The position Department of Physical Performance at NIH is offering an 80% position consisting of a 50% permanent appointment and a 30% fixed-term appointment for two years from January 2027. The position will be allocated to support the research group in exercise physiology and to service several physiology laboratories at the department. The research group focus is on understanding exercise training in diverse populations, including elite athletes, recreational athletes and clinical populations. The laboratories at the NIH are state-of-the-art facilities for collecting high-quality research data. The laboratories are equipped with a low-pressure chamber, different treadmills and other ergometers, open-circuit indirect calorimetry, and several other invasive and non-invasive methods for studying humans during exercise.
