The main duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Estimator are outlined as follows:Estimate Preparation:Develop detailed and accurate estimates for mechanical engineering works based on outline drawings and specifications.Ensure that estimates reflect a realistic level of risk and adhere to company guidelines and industry standards.Design Development Participation:Engage in the design development process to evaluate buildability, material selection, innovative solutions, and cost-effectiveness.Provide early-stage pricing information during tendering to assist in optioneering and budgeting, ensuring that the most cost-effective solutions are proposed.Risk and Governance Compliance:Ensure all procedures, including risk management and governance processes, are followed, thoroughly documented, and properly authorised.Tender Preparation:Contribute to the development of Tender Preparation and Tender Construction programmes.Collaborate with other functions to prepare a detailed staff sc…
