Conservator, Section for Visual Media and Conservation

Fag og forskning, Nasjonalbiblioteket The National Library of Norway is looking for a conservator of photographs, books and paper to help facilitate the use and conservation of its collections. The position involves active conservation work, exhibitions, consulting and examination of documents using multispectral analysis and other techniques. The National Library of Norway manages a large multimedia collection, of which books, periodicals, prints, photography and private archival materials from the Middle Ages to the present day make up a considerable part. Preservation and conservation are an important part of our social mandate, and our institution offers a large and active community of experts in this field. Organisationally, the position is located within the Section Visual Media and Conservation [NT1] in the Department of Research and Special Collections.
